This Privacy Policy describes how Breatho ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

Usage Analytics:

  • App usage patterns and frequency
  • Features accessed and interaction times
  • Screen views and navigation paths
  • Session duration and completion rates

This information is collected through Firebase Analytics to help us understand how the App is used and improve user experience.

1.2 Local Storage Information

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

Session Data:

  • Breathing exercise session history (technique used, duration, timestamp)
  • Meditation session history (duration, audio selected, timestamp)
  • Statistics and progress tracking (daily streaks, total sessions, weekly statistics)
  • User preferences (theme settings, selected techniques, preferred durations)
  • Onboarding completion status

This data is stored using local storage technologies (Hive and SharedPreferences) and remains on your device unless you delete the App or clear the App's data.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • Personal identifying information (name, email address, phone number) unless you voluntarily provide it
  • Location data
  • Payment information
  • Biometric data
  • Health records or medical information

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the App's functionality
  • To improve the App's features and user experience
  • To analyze usage patterns and understand how users interact with the App
  • To fix bugs and optimize App performance

3. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

3.1 Local Storage

3.2 Cloud Storage

Analytics Data:

  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics data is transmitted to Firebase Analytics
  • This data is processed by Google Firebase services and stored in accordance with Firebase's data processing terms
  • Analytics data does not personally identify you

Feature Configuration:

  • Feature flags and app configuration are stored in Firebase Firestore
  • This is general app configuration and does not contain personal user data

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized usage analytics
  • Firebase Firestore: Stores feature flags and app configuration
  • Firebase Storage: May store audio files and other app content

  • Secure transmission of data using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6.1 Access and Deletion

  • Access your local data stored in the App (viewable through the App's statistics and session history)
  • Delete your local data by uninstalling the App or clearing App data through device settings

  • Adjusting your device's privacy settings
  • Contacting us to request opt-out (note that this may limit our ability to improve the App)

  • Using the App's built-in statistics features
  • Taking screenshots of your session history

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.

  • Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete the App or clear App data
  • Analytics Data: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form for analysis and improvement purposes, typically for up to 26 months as per Firebase Analytics default settings
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us
